Grenada Olympic Committee Renews Partnership with 12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival: A Celebration of Sports and Creativity.

St. George's, Grenada, September 26, 2023 –  The 12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival, known as the 1261 Film Festival, is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Grenada Olympic Committee. Produced by Mprojekts Creative Group, this year's Festival marks a significant five-year milestone in contributing to Grenada's cinematic landscape. Beyond its cinematic excellence, the Festival is a cultural exchange platform, fostering connections between Grenada and the global community through innovation and creativity.

Titled "From Small Seeds to Big Dreams: Five to Fifty," the Festival will be hosted at Olympic House in Morne Rouge, St. George, from October 24 to October 29, 2023. This partnership underscores the Grenada Olympic Committee's commitment to bridging the worlds of sports and creativity, championing unity, diversity, and human achievement, and transcending the realms of sports. It exemplifies our unwavering dedication to creating an environment where inspiration knows no bounds.

Olympic House transcends its physical structure to embody symbolic importance in sports, unity, and community. It is an inclusive hub, uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds and ages. A highlight of the Festival will be a special Community Impact screening segment titled "Champions of the Human Spirit," in collaboration with the Olympic Committee. This segment will showcase sports-themed films, spotlighting the remarkable feats of Grenadian athletes who have triumphed over challenges to earn recognition, both locally and on the global stage. The Community Impact Screen aims to serve as a poignant reminder of how sports and cinema have the power to inspire, motivate, and uplift.
