Cultural Confidence In Focus: 1261 Film Festival

12°N, 61°W Film Festival is the most notable cinematographic event in Grenada and among the most important in the Caribbean.

For the past four years, the 1261 Film Festival has been bridging cultures from the Caribbean and African diaspora celebrating cinema and films from the region that would not be seen otherwise. This year's program focuses on "Cultural Confidence" in representation and celebration of our stories in cinema.

Producers, directors, and actors attending the 1261 Film Festival in Grenada to present their films, and the local creative community will roam the red carpet during the Grenadian Night and International Night, in addition to experiencing a touch of authentic Grenadian culture from food to entertainment during the after parties.

The 1261 Film Festival will retain the festival hybrid format developed over the past two years for 2022. The core of the Festival is the daily evening open-air projection of movies in various locations in Grenada, from the city to the rural communities. Between screenings, networking events, and island excursions, the 1261FF team curated numerous opportunities for entertainment and fun that will offer you an unforgettable experience.

The 4th annual 12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival takes place from Wednesday, 26 October to Sunday, 30 October 2022. The 1261 Film Festival program launch is on Thursday, 29 September 2022.
