Director Biography - Adrian Campbell

Adrian Campbell is a Canadian Filmmaker and Director, born September 20, 1990. He spent much of his childhood growing up on the small Island of Grenada, where his parents were born. His passion for storytelling and movies was always present; his mother would often bring him to the theater at a young age, and they would watch many films together.

Adrian's perspective as a director is influenced by films such as Ron Howard's Cinderella Man for his use of music and setting. Jordan Peele is another significant inspiration for his creative freedom and unique storytelling perspective.

Adrian studied filmmaking at Lights Film School. Upon completion, he wrote and directed his first indie film, "Descension," which earned awards for best cinematography and best Fiction. "Descension" was also nominated for several other awards, including best editing, best student film, and best first director.

In March of 2022, he released "Descension Part II" his most accomplished project to date, which won over ten awards, including best action film, best editing, best sound design, best feature film, and best actor, as well as securing several nominations from festivals all over the world.

His ultimate dream is to showcase a major film in front of a sold-out cinema. And help reinvigorate the pure joy of watching films on the big screen.
