Director’s Bio: Benedict Campbell
Benedict Campbell is a writer and director focused on short and feature length dramatic fiction. His interest in filmmaking grew from photography and he studied film & television at New York University. His short film, Lloyd Neck, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and screened at 20 international film festivals. The film won Best Director at the HollyShorts Festival. The Watch & The War premiered on the watch news website hodinkee.com and his film A Quaker Sound screened at the Provincetown Film Festival. Benedict is a recipient of the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Playwriting/Screenwriting and received the 2019 BRIO award from the Bronx Council on the Arts. He is a member of The Bronx Filmmakers Collective and was a Teaching Artist at Ghetto Film School. He recently completed The High Bridge, a short film based on his feature script about a young father that played at the Montclair, Harlem, Lower East Side and Provincetown Film Festivals
