Year in Review:12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival
Reflecting on an Unforgettable Year: Highlights from the 2024 Grenada Film Festival
What an incredible year it's been! Despite challenges like Hurricane Beryl, the 12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival thrived, uniting filmmakers, industry leaders, and the community in a celebration of Caribbean and African diasporic cinema. From empowering local voices to hosting new collaborations, the festival highlighted the strength and creativity of Grenada and the wider Caribbean.
This year, we welcomed home diasporic filmmakers, saw record audience growth, and honored cultural icons like Tanya Taylor, Roy Cape, and Nikki Giovanni. We also made an impact through community initiatives, inspiring the next generation of storytellers.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand the festival’s reach and continue showcasing the diverse voices of the Caribbean. Thanks to all who made this year unforgettable—your support makes it all possible. Here's to the future of Caribbean cinema!
