AJ Wone

AJ Wone is an emerging filmmaker who sought out to independently produce his own content focused on the evocation of rhythm, soul and cultural enrichment.

Growing up in Leimert Park and South Central L.A. during the era of the legendary works of John Singleton and Spike Lee, Wone honed his brand of hip-hop infused spoken word he identifies as "Philosofloetry".

After transitioning from writing into producing and eventually directing stage plays, music videos and documentaries, his skill set broadened into an all purpose instrument of creation with emphasis on the dynamic of Black identity, culture and sensibility.
